Welcome to Sweden with Richard Kiel is a new TV series broadcast on Kanal 5 from March 9, 2007, until April 13, 2007.
In
Welcome to Sweden we follow actor
Richard Kiel (internationally known as
Jaws in the James Bond movies
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and
Moonraker (1979) (1979)) and
Verne Troyer, more known as "Mini Me" in
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and
Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002).
The two men travel to Sweden to experience our traditions and, for them, slightly different way of life. Tour stops included visits to Eskilstuna, Västerås, Mora, Sälen, Borlänge, Åland, Uppsala, Visby, and Stockholm. At each place, the actors experienced various Swedish traditions like celebrating Midsummer’s Eve, May Day, a Crayfish party, Gymnasia graduation, Gustav Adolf-Day, Vasaloppet, opening of Parliament and a boat cruise.
The vignette graphics is created by
Alphaville (directed by David Giese & Adam Marko-Nord) and vignette music made by
Kungen & Hertigen.
Producer of the program series is Joachim Brobeck, a friend of ours, and the production company behind the show was
Jarowskij.
