Editor of TSWLM, MOONRAKER, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, OCTOPUSSY, TLD and LICENCE TO KILL

The first time I met the talented editor John Grover was at Pinewood Studios on November 21, 2004. We were both there for An afternoon with Richard Kiel, the first Bond event that was organised by Bondstars.

Although we didn’t speak much at the event, I got the impression that John is a nice person with a friendly attitude towards fans.

John Grover has worked in the editing department on six of the James Bond films, The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983), The Living Daylights (1987), and Licence to Kill (1989).

Besides working on four of Roger Moore's Bond films, Grover worked on two other films starring Sir Roger - The Wild Geese (1978) and The Sea Wolves (1980) - both directed by Andrew V. McLaglen. Apart from John and Sir Roger, these two films involved three other key members from the 'James Bond family', John Glen (film editor), Syd Cain (production designer), and Colin Miller (sound/dubbing editor).

For more information about John's work on Moonraker, read an interview with John Grover that our friends at the MI6 website did with him in September 2009.

Check out John Grover's profile on IMDB for other film credits.
