Michael Reed On Her Majestys Secret Service

Director of Photography for ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE 1969

I had the privilege of meeting this gentleman at Pinewood Studios during A Celebration of James Bond on June 11, 2005.

Michael Reed is a very friendly and polite person, and I have the deepest respect for him as a Director of Photography.

The British cinematographer graduated to big scale film making with the James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).

Reed also worked on other notable films in the 1960s and 1970s including Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966), starring Christopher Lee, and Shout at the Devil (1976) starring Roger Moore. Previously, between 1966 and 1968, Michael and Sir Roger worked together on 21 episodes of the hit television series The Saint.
