Mr Ling in GOLDFINGER 1964 and Spectre no 3 in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE 1967

I first met Burt Kwouk when I assisted him (and Martine Beswicke) at Kempton Park Race Course during a weekend in September 2006. A lovely man.

Burt is a hilarious man and I wish more will be fortunate to meet the man who brilliantly portrayed Cato in seven of the Pink Panther film series - A Shot in the Dark (1964), The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978), Trail of the Pink Panther (1982), Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) and Son of the Pink Panther (1993).

Included on his impressive CV are also three of the Bond films:
Goldfinger (1964) (1964), You Only Live Twice (1967) and the 1967 spoof, Casino Royale.

It has always been very memorable, and a real pleasure, to meet Burt at other occasions over the years. I last saw him on the local bus in London.

Update:
Most sadly, the dear Burt passed away on 24th May 2016 aged 85. Below a selection of the obituaries published online:

>BBC (24-5-2016)
>Guardian (24-5-2016)
>Mirror (24-5-2016)
>Sky News (24-5-2016)
