Moneypenny in GOLDENEYE, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH and DIE ANOTHER DAY

Before coming to London in November 2002 I had never met Samantha Bond in person. Flying in from Sweden, I noticed she had the female lead in the theatre play of ‘Macbeth’ at Albery Theatre (now known as Noel Coward Theatre) near Leicester Square in London. So, I bought a ticket in order to 'evaluate' her like she once did with 007.

Her performance was great and seemlingly very enjoyable. I discovered her talent as an actress and realised she will be very successful in the future.

After the play ended a bunch of guys waited for her at the back of the theatre and when she came out we got a little chat and everyone was happy. When I told her I attended the premiere of Die Another Day (2002) the night before (like her) she asked about the film and I tried my best to get her a good answer.

I pointed out I really wouldn’t have disliked that the dream Miss Moneypenny has at the end of DAD being real.

Actresses who have played Moneypenny in the 007 film series:
• Caroline Bliss (in The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill)
• Lois Chiles (in Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy (1983) andA View to a Kill)
