Stuntman and actor who worked on 10 of the James Bond films between 1977 and 2002
I recently spent some time on the golf course with the kind, funny and talented Terry Cade. We played Stoke Park, a course famed for its relation to James Bond after Goldfinger (1964) was partly filmed there.
Terry has over 40 years experience from the film and stunt business. He started in Hong Kong first working on
Enter the Dragon (1973). His first film as Stunt Coordinator was
Double Crossers (1976).
On returning to England in 1976 he first worked on
The Spy Who Loved Me as an action extra, later he joined the UK stunt register in 1979. His first UK film as a stuntman was "The Long Good Friday" and now has credits to his name for Stunt Coordinator and Actor.
After TSWLM, Terry has done a number of stunts in the Bond film series including scenes for
For Your Eyes Only (1981),
Octopussy (1983) (1983),
Never Say Never Again (1983),
A View to a Kill (1985),
Licence to Kill (1989),
GoldenEye (1995) (1995),
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997),
The World Is Not Enough (1999) and
Die Another Day (2002).
In
Die Another Day, Cade also played a butler during the sword fight between Bond (
Pierce Brosnan) and Gustav Graves (
Toby Stephens) filmed at the Reform Club in London.
Terry is also an accomplished golfer (turning pro in 2004) and has since become a qualified teacher with both the
World Golf Teachers Federation (WGTF) and the
European Golf Teachers Federation (EGTF). When not working within the film industry Terry can often be found on a sunny golf course in Spain.
Combining both of his passions Terry competes in charity Pro-Celebrity golf matches and has on occasions been invited to play for both sides. Being able to raise money for charities and still enjoy what he is doing is something that Terry finds hard to say no to.
