I was delighted to meet a fellow Swede, the cool and handsome Ola Rapace, on the red carpet during the Royal premiere of Skyfall at Royal Albert Hall in London where he was accompanied by the lovely Belle Williams.

The day after, I attended a press conference with him, Naomie Harris and Gregg Wilson at Grand Hotell in Stockholm. During the conference he noted that the first Bond film he ever saw was Casino Royale (2006)...

Ola seems to be a really nice and down to earth guy who takes his celebrity status with a breeze. I think he did a brilliant performance in Skyfall and should be proud of his work.

About Ola Rapace:
The accomplished actor is best known in Sweden for roles in the popular TV series Tusenbröder (2002-2007) and the first season of the Swedish TV series Wallander (2005-2006) which is based on Henning Mankell’s Kurt Wallander books.

Outside Sweden, his most notable work is in the 2000 Lukas Moodysson film Together (2000) which won several awards at international film festivals. The international accolades came back in 2010 with Pernilla August's Beyond, which won the Audience Award at the Venice Film Festival 2010 and the Guldbagge (Swedish Academy Award).

Rapace is also known for his acting role as Daniel Nordström in the Danish police TV show Anna Pihl (2007-2008) and had a small role in the English language Rancid (2004).

His latest project is a Swedish period noire-crime set in the 1950's based on the books by Maria Lang (Mördaren ljuger inte ensam, Kung Liljekonvalje av Dungen, Inte flera mord, Rosor, kyssar och döden, Farliga drömmar and Tragedi på en lantkyrkogård).
