Calling all Bond fans in Australia: Here's your chance to meet James Bond and Jaws in person. George Lazenby and Richard Kiel will attend Supanova's Sydney and Perth expos in June 2014.
The James Bond film series has truly stood the test of time. Comprising of 23 feature films and earning over 6 billion dollars, it has been the star vehicle for 6 different actors and is one of the most beloved action adventure franchises in the world. Its blend of exotic locations, intrigue, action, romance and high-tech gadgets has captivated viewers since
Dr. No in 1962 right up until last year's
Skyfall (2012). The Actors who played James Bond have all been representatives of their time and somehow James Bond is as relevant now as he was in 1962.
Supanova is proud to welcome two fantastic guests from the classic Bond films; one much loved returning villain and one man who has held the Walther PPK himself!
George Lazenby: the only Australian to play the famous super-spy, starred in 1969’s
On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The handsome Lazenby, previously a fashion model, was spotted by producer
Albert R. Broccoli at their barber. Lazenby won the Bond role after accidentally but convincingly punching the stunt coordinator in the face during a screen test.
Richard Kiel: Struck fear into viewers’ hearts as the steel-toothed Bond villain ‘Jaws’ in
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and
Moonraker (1979) (1979), but is popular with younger audiences as ‘Mr Larson’ in Adam Sandler’s comedy Happy Gilmore (1996) and even more recently as the voice of ‘Vlad’ in
Tangled (2010).
Nobody does it better than Supanova and we promise that these guests are not just “For your eyes only!”
Both guests will be appearing at all 3 days of the Sydney expo and both days of the Perth Expo.
George and Richard look forward to meeting all fans at both the Sydney and Perth expos in 2014. There are signing* and photo* sessions throughout each Friday (1:00pm – 6:00pm in Sydney) Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm both shows) and Sunday (11am to 5pm both shows) excluding breaks and there’s a general admission Q&A on the Saturday of each weekend.
• Autograph (30 AUD each) and photograph (40 AUD each) fees apply.
• Both George and Richard is happy to pose at their table 70 AUD (George is 40; Richard is 30) for fans using their own camera.
(Guest confirmed health and other commitments pending.)
