James Bond Films Once Again On TV4 Sweden

During the holidays, you have another chance to see all 007 adventures with Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton. From Dr. No (1962) to Licence to Kill (1989). Replace the shaken dry martini with a glass of mulled wine and enjoy one of the Bond classics every night between December 23 and January 9, 2012. Merry Christmas, 007!

Although the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond film series is not until next year, this marks the fourth time for a James Bond film festival on Swedish television in 2011. The first was on TV4 Plus, the second on TV3, and the third also on TV4 Film.

Villain: Joseph Wiseman
Bond girl: Ursula Andress
Highlights: The scene where Honey Rider (Ursula Andress) appears from the ocean is one of the most classic Bond moments.

December 24:
From Russia With Love (Agent 007 ser rött)
James: Sean Connery
Villain: Lotte Lenya
Bond girl: Daniela Bianchi
Highlights: The sequel to Dr. No beat all cash records when it opened and is considered by many to be the best Bond movie in the series.

December 25:
Goldfinger (1964)
James: Sean Connery
Villain: Gert Fröbe
Bond girl: Honor Blackman
Highlights: Razor sharp henchman Oddjob (Harold Sakata) and a Bond girl named Pussy Galore.

December 26:
Thunderball (Ã…skbollen)
James: Sean Connery
Villain: Adolfo Celi
Bond girls: Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi
Highlights: Amazing environments - Bond goes to a spa in the Bahamas.

December 27:
You only live twice (Man lever bara två gånger)

Villain: Donald Pleasence
Bond girls: Karin Dor and Mie Hama
Highlights: The screenplay written by Norwegian/Welsh author Roald Dahl. The film was a great success and is the basis for the Austin Powers series.

December 28:
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (I hennes majestäts hemliga tjänst)
James: George Lazenby
Villain: Telly Savalas
Bond girl: Diana Rigg
Highlights: Joanna Lumley (later world-famous for the hit tv-series Absolutely Fabulous) appears in the role as "The Angel of Death" and the eternal bachelor James marry for the first and only time.

December 29:
Diamonds are forever (Diamantfeber)
James: Sean Connery
Villain: Charles Gray
Bond girl: Jill St. John
Highlights: For the second time (Goldfinger was the first and Moonraker the third) Shirley Bassey sings the title song, a song which producer Harry Saltzman reportedly hated, but was persuaded to keep in the film.

December 30:
Live and Let Die (Leva och låta dö)
James: Roger Moore
Villain: Yaphet Kotto
Bond girl: Jane Seymour
Highlights: Roger Moore's debut as agent 007 was another success (the film was Oscar-nominated) and Paul McCartney's amazing soundtrack.

December 31:
The Man with the Golden Gun (Mannen med den gyllene pistolen)
James: Roger Moore
Villain: Christopher Lee
Bond girls: Swedish actresses Britt Ekland and Maud Adams
Highlights: Clifton James as Sheriff J.W. Pepper and Hervé Villechaize as Nick Nack.

January 1, 2012:
The Spy Who Loved Me (Älskade spion)

Villain: Curd Jürgens
Bond girl: Barbara Bach
Highlights: Richard Kiel as Jaws, a tall challenge for Bond to put his teeth into, or was it the other way around?

Highlights: Benicio Del Toro as Dario and the always lovable Desmond Llewelyn in his biggest role as Q.

As a conclusion of TV4 Film's James Bond film festival, enjoy David Niven as the secret agent with the power to amuse, in the spoof Casino Royale (1967) on January 9, in which Peter Sellers, as usual, steals the show.
