After the success of the James Bond Destinations book, Assouline has launched James Bond Style, a large format coffee table book with never-before-seen sketches and detailed fashion analysis.

Throughout the 328 pages, James Bond Style takes readers through 25 films and over 60 years worth of costume design, for not just 007 himself, but also his nemeses, love interests, and colleagues. James Bond Style includes direction and insight from Academy-Award winner and five-time 007 costume designer Lindy Hemming.

The book includes an introduction from the editor-in-chief of the London Standard newspaper, Dylan Jones, and features stories and insights from the designers behind many of the outfits, from Donatella Versace, Tom Ford, and Jenny Packham.

About the author


Lindy Hemming is one of the world’s most renowned costume designers, a graduate of Britain’s RADA, she has worked on five 007 films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2006).

Hemming is the recipient of an Academy Award for best costume design for Topsy-Turvy (1999) and has been nominated for a Tony Award and several BAFTAs. She also won two Costume Designers Guild Awards, for The Dark Knight in 2008 (she was the costume designer for all three movies in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy). In addition, Hemming has received acclaim for films including Four Weddings and a Funeral, the original Tomb Raider franchise, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Paddington, Paddington 2, and Wonka.
