Mundije is a multidimensional film censored by the Albanian state because it touches on taboo events such as the hanging of the poet Havzi Nela, the genocide in Camëri, the suffering of the Albanian people from Communism and mass emigration, the history and virtues of the Albanian nation, as well as the need to fight organized crime.
The film is written and directed by Fatmir Bardhoci as part of a 5-part THE PRESIDENT'S ASSET series. It is the first and only film with an Albanian producer made in six countries around the world including USA, (New York and Los Angeles), Mexico, Germany, Albania, and Kosovo featuring Hollywood actors such as the second James Bond - George Lazenby, Eric Roberts, Michael Pare, Robert La Sardo, Robert Miano, and Al Sapienza.
George Lazenby as U.S. President in a scene from Mundije
Mundije is based on true events from the life of screenwriter, director and producer Fatmir Bardhoci (Ilir Luma).
The film won the 44th Paladiono d'Oro festival in Italy as well as (00)7 different international awards at prestigious festivals in America.
The From Sweden with Love team congratulates George to an acting career spanning over five decades. Not bad to have kicked it off by portraying Ian Fleming's James Bond, and end it with a role as U.S. President.
