James Bond's Saab 900 Turbo is back on display at the Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan

From Sweden with Love is pleased to report that James Bond's car in the first three 007 novels written by John Gardner is once again on display at the Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan, Sweden. This time as one of the cars in the ongoing The Box exhibition which runs until 30th September 2026.

James Bond drove the Saab 900 Turbo in Licence Renewed (1981), For Special Services (1982) and Icebreaker (1983). All of those novels were written by the second James Bond continuation writer, John Gardner.

“It [James Bond's Saab 900 Turbo] is the most sought-after by all 007 connoisseurs,” says Peter Bäckström, curator at the museum. However, he adds that the car is not for sale.


The summer of 2026 is extra exciting for anyone who is curious about Saab cars. The museum has moved into Nova Arena and presents the temporary exhibition The Box. Between 6th June and 30th September 2026, the Saab Car Museum displays more cars at one time than ever before! Normally, the museum can show about half of its collection of just over 140 cars. During The Box exhibition, visitors can view over 100 interesting cars, a unique opportunity to experience the world's finest Saab collection in a way that will not be repeated in the foreseeable future.
