Cuban actress Ana de Armas portrayed Paloma in the 25th and last James Bond film from Eon Productions, No Time To Die (2021), opposite Daniel Craig as Ian Fleming's 007. The Academy Award nominated British actress Naomie Harris portrayed Eve Moneypenny in three Bond films starring Craig, Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015) and No Time To Die. Ukraine-born actress Olga Kurylenko co-starred with Craig in Quantum of Solace (2008) in the role of Camille. Among Kurylenko's other roles is the female lead in November Man (2014) opposite another Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan.
The Academy Award nominated Ms. de Armas is attending the festival for an In-Conversation event on 5th December 2025 to talk about her career as she has become one of the industry’s most sought-after talents. She recently starred as Eve in Lionsgate’s Ballerina (2025), set in the John Wick universe, and starred in Eden (2024) alongside Jude Law and Sydney Sweeney. Her breakout performance in the 2019 film Knives Out (starring Daniel Craig) earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
Ms. Harris and Ms. Kurylenko is attending the festival as members of the Feature Competition Jury headed by Academy Award winning director Sean Baker. The other members of the jury are Nadine Labaki and Riz Ahmed. Together, they’ll honor the best films at this year’s festival.
The three James Bond related actresses also attended the annual “Women in Cinema” gala which aims to celebrate the contribution of women, both on camera and behind it, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival.
Furthermore, the British film icon Sir Michael Caine also attended this year's festival and arrived with his grandchildren to accept the Honorary Yusr Award, celebrated for a legendary career that has shaped the history of cinema and inspired generations of filmmakers. He was accompanied on stage by his friend and fellow actor Vin Diesel. As a very good friend of the late Bond actors Sir Sean Connery and Sir Roger Moore, one could argue Caine was keeping the British end up on behalf of the Bond universe. Connery and Caine worked together on both The Man Who Would Be King (1975) and A Bridge Too Far (1977) while Moore worked with Caine on Bullseye! (1990).
