James Bond film actors and behind the scenes crew

This section of FSWL is kind of personal as it features photos and stories from meeting and talking to the people who have contributed to the success of the James Bond 007 phenomenon. In most cases very friendly and down-to-earth people. Currently 260 names listed.

The list consist of actors, actresses, assistant directors, camera operators, cinematographers, composers, costume designers, directors, editors, executive producers, location managers, lyrics writers, marketing executives, music artists, production assistants, production controllers, production designers, production managers, production secretaries, publicists, script supervisors, screenwriters, special effects wizards, stunt coordinators and several stuntmen.

The section also includes meetings with official James Bond authors.

NORMAN WANSTALL
Academy Award winning dubbing editor for the first 5 James Bond films and NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN 1983

I first met the talented Academy Award wining sound editor Norman Wanstall at Pinewood Studios during A Celebration of James Bond on June 11, 2005.

Norman Wanstall is one of the most pleasant Bond related person I have ever met! Very friendly man and adding extra value to the fans by giving interesting insight in the film making business, for example revealing it's not glamorous as many people think it is:

"It is a lots of talent in the business but you have to be lucky to be in the right place in the right time if you want a job" was one of the most memorable things Norman said.

After our initial meeting at Pinewood we saw each other again at Autographica outside London in October 2005. I then asked him if he could consider coming to Sweden and hold a lecture about his film career which he gladly accepted.

We met up again in April 2006 when he arrived to Skövde, along with his Oscar, where yours truly tried his best to help out. The following day he held a much appreciated lecture for a full crowd at University of Skövde, read the full report here.

Thanks Norman, an honour meeting you and a privilege to hold your **Oscar!

**Mr Wanstall received this for his Sound editing work on Goldfinger 1964.
