James Bond film actors and behind the scenes crew

This section of FSWL is kind of personal as it features photos and stories from meeting and talking to the people who have contributed to the success of the James Bond 007 phenomenon. In most cases very friendly and down-to-earth people. Currently 263 names listed.

The list consist of actors, actresses, assistant directors, camera operators, cinematographers, composers, costume designers, directors, editors, executive producers, location managers, lyrics writers, marketing executives, music artists, production assistants, production controllers, production designers, production managers, production secretaries, publicists, script supervisors, screenwriters, special effects wizards, stunt coordinators and several stuntmen.

The section also includes meetings with official James Bond authors.

GLORIA HENDRY
Rosie Carver in LIVE AND LET DIE 1973

I first met the beautiful American actress Gloria Hendry (sometimes credited as Gloria Henry) in September 2008 in London.

Hendry began her acting career in the 1968 Sidney Poitier film For Love of Ivy.

She is best known for portraying Rosie Carver in Live and Let Die 1973. In that film, she became the first African American woman to become romantically involved with James Bond. She is not, however, the first African-American Bond girl as Trina Parks appeared in Diamonds Are Forever 1971.

When the LALD was first released in South Africa, her love scenes with Roger Moore were cut out because it was prohibited by the Apartheid government.

She later starred in several 1970s blaxploitation films, including the 1973 film Black Caesar and its sequel, Hell Up in Harlem. She also portrayed the martial arts expert, Sydney, in Black Belt Jones 1974.

In June 2008, Gloria Hendry published her autobiography Gloria.

We encourage you to visit Gloria Hendry's official website.
