New officially licensed James Bond prop - replica of Laser Gun from MOONRAKER

Factory Entertainment has informed us of a new officially licensed James Bond prop replica. Collectors now can obtain an authentic and accurate replica of James Bond's Laser Gun, as featured in Moonraker (1979).

The Factory Entertainment Moonraker Laser prop replica was created after exhaustive and careful study of the original props in the EON Productions archives, as well as hundreds of reference photographs and original production drawings and blueprints. All the detail on the original has been retained including some of the casting asymmetry on the handmade original, which would not have been visible on screen and a missing trigger. Triggers were deliberately omitted to allow actors wearing thick astronaut style gloves to use the props. This makes the replica visually indistinguishable from the original. However, a heavier weight polyresin and an internal support frame have been employed on the replica to give it more heft and strength than the original.

Each finely crafted Moonraker laser replica comes with a museum quality display stand, numbered limited edition plaque, COA, and detailed prop story booklet. Each replica is also presented in a full color box designed to emulate the distinctive ‘Drax Enterprise Corp’ shipping crates seen in the film.

It's a numbered limited edition of just 500 pieces!

Pre-order the Moonraker Laser Gun replica directly from Factory Entertainment:

In the tradition of Hollywood's finest awards presentations, the best stuntwomen and men in the entertainment industry will be recognized for their extraordinary performances in feature films of 2012 at this year's Taurus World Stunt Awards ceremony. Skyfall, with Gary Powell as stunt coordinator, is nominated in four categories. From Sweden with Love will post the results on this page after the awards ceremony.

Before the 2013 Taurus World Stunt Awards , Skyfall has won the award for Best Cinematography (to Roger Deakins) from The Los Angeles Film Critics Association, a Golden Globe to Adele for Best Original Song, two BAFTA awards for Outstanding British Film (to Sam Mendes, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, John Logan) & one for Original Music (to Thomas Newman).

The film also won TWO Academy Awards for Best Original Song (to Adele and Paul Epworth) and Best Sound Editing (to Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers).

The four 2013 Taurus World Stunt Awards nominations for SKYFALL are:

• BEST HIGH WORK - James Bond is shot and falls off a train, falling to the water below. A decelerator assisted the 100’ fall down. The final fall into water was shot later and enhanced with some CGI (Computer Generated Imagery).

• BEST WORK WITH A VEHICLE - James Bond pursues someone in a high speed chase through the streets of Istanbul. After his SUV is crashed, the chase continues on motorbikes that race on the rooftops of buildings and eventually land on the top of a train.

• BEST SPECIALTY STUNT - James Bond chases a man across narrow rooftops on motorcycles in a high-speed chase that includes a jump through a glass window. No wires or cables were used for the chase or the jump.

• BEST STUNT COORDINATION AND/OR 2ND UNIT DIRECTION

Fascinating autobiography by the lovely and admirable Joanna Lumley

The absolutely fabulous Joanna Lumley (the English girl in On Her Majesty's Secret Service 1969) opens her private albums for this illustrated memoir.

Joanna Lumley is one of Britain's undisputed national treasures, an English actress, voiceover artist and author, best known for her roles in the British television series Absolutely Fabulous (1992-2012) portraying Edina Monsoon's best friend, Patsy Stone, as well as parts in The New Avengers (1976–1977) and Sapphire & Steel (1979-1982). A former model and Bond girl, her distinctive voice has been supplied for animated characters, film narration and AOL's ''You've got mail'' notification in the UK. She has spoken out as a human rights activist for Survival International and Gurkha Justice Campaign, and is now considered a 'national treasure' of Nepal as well as the UK because of her support. She is also an advocate for a huge number of charities.

She has won two BAFTA awards, but it is the sheer diversity of her life that has made her so compelling a personality - early years in Kashmir and Malaya, growing up in Kent, then a photographic model before becoming an actress, appearing in a huge range of roles, whether it is the Nimble bread TV ad, movies like On Her Majesty's Secret Service, dramas like Sensitive Skin and documentaries on the Northern Lights, Bhutan and the Nile.
