Bob Dix portrayed agent Hamilton in the 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die. (Dix was under contract with MGM in Hollywood at the same time as Roger Moore during the 1950s and 1960s. This book tells the story of two generations of actors; Robert Dix and his father Richard Dix (1893-1949).

The autobiography of Robert Dix. Richard Dix is remembered primarily as a Western Movie Star. His starring role in Cimarron, the Academy Award winner for Best Picture in 1931, left a lasting impression. But of the ninety-nine movies he made, the majority were not Westerns. Robert Dix grew up in his father’s world, surrounded by the glamour of early Hollywood.
