Our good man in Belgium, Bernard VandenDriessche, met up with Bernard Horsfall at London Film and Comic Con in July 2009.

Bernard kindly provided two of the pictures below from when Bernard H. signed his original Belgium On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) poster. He mentioned that Bernard is a really nice and friendly person and that it was wonderful to meet him.

About Bernard Horsfall:
Horsfall was born in Hertfordshire in 1930 and has balanced an exciting film and tv career, with one on the stage.

He made his film debut in 1957 in the Ray Milland drama High Flight. This was swiftly followed by roles in The Steel Bayonet (1957), Critical Point (1957), and Man in the Moon (1960) with Kenneth More and Shirley Anne Field.

In 1964 he appeared in Guns at Batasi and started clocking up a vast number of tv appearances including The Avengers (1965-1968), Dixon Of Dock Green (1966), Softly Softly (1966-1967), The Saint (1967), Doctor Who (1968-1976), Department S (1969), Ivanhoe (1970), Doomwatch (1970), The Persuaders (1972), Juliet Bravo (1982), Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense (1984), The Jewel in the Crown (1984), Casualty (1988-1995), The Bill (1989), Agatha Christie's Poirot (1991), Between the Lines (1992) och Murder Rooms (2000).

His film career in the late 1960s and early 1970s saw him appear in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Gold (1974), and Shout at the Devil (1976) - all directed by Peter Hunt.
(The last two starred Roger Moore which Bernard previously had worked with on The Saint and The Persuaders.)

In OHMSS he played Campbell, Bond's ally up near the snowy peaks of Piz Gloria - who sadly came to a sticky end.

Other film appearances include Richard Attenborough's Gandhi (1982), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1988), and Mel Gibson's Braveheart (1995).
