Izabella Scorupco Set For First Comedy Role

Super stylish 'Bond girl' Izabella Scorupco and David Hellenius is set to star in a new Swedish relationship comedy (Sista chansen/Last Chance) with a theatrical release in the summer of 2014. This is Izabella's first film since Among Us (2010).

Sista chansen is a relationship comedy that takes place in the archipelago starring David Hellenius and Izabella Scorupco.

"Veronika falls head over heels with Mike, the carpenter who re-builds the kitchen in her large and exclusive Stockholm flat. The sawdust has barely subsided before the first hot kiss. For their teenage children, Fanny and Alexander, the relationship becomes harder to accept. Veronika assumes that a summer with all of them on the West Coast at her wealthy parents place should do the trick. But Mike does not feel comfortable in the 'posh' world and when his own dysfunctional family and a sexually liberated neighbour also join the game, their relationship is put at risk. In the fair Bohuslän archipelago, three generations meet to sort out their tangled relationships in a stellar relationship comedy."

In the leading role of the carpenter (Mike) we will see David Hellenius in his first leading role in a feature film. The other leading role of the upper class girl (Veronika) will be played by Izabella Scorupco. It will be Scorupco's first role in a comedy.

Staffan Lindberg will be directing a screenplay he has co-written with Jimmy Lagnefors.

Lena Rehnberg of StellaNova Film will act as the film's producer. Staffan Lindberg, Lena Rehnberg and David Hellenius have previously collaborated with the successful films En gång i Phuket (2012) and Sommaren med Göran (2009).
