One of Octopussy's circus girls in OCTOPUSSY 1983

The first time I met the lovely Cheryl Anne was in London just before the World premiere of Quantum of Solace in October 2008. She told me what a great time she had working on Octopussy (1983), which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013, and that it didn't matter she only had a small part in the film since it was a Bond film and a fun time working with the other girls and of course Roger Moore.

After a modelling career, Cheryl was cast as one of the girls in Octopussy. She then took a career break to raise a family but returned to film industry in the 1990's when she appeared in Streets Of Rage (1994).

She later stopped acting and went on to study at London College of Fashion. After graduation she set up her own company, Cheryl Hersch Interior design.

Update: (21-3-2015) - We're very sad to report that Cheryl recently passed away after battling cancer. Cheryl Anne was a wonderful person in real life. In fact one of the nicest I've met from the world of Bond. Our thought and prayers are with her family. R.I.P.

FSWL supporter and friend Safira Afzal, one of the other circus girls in Octopussy, remembers Cheryl Anne:

"Cheryl Anne was a petite, feminine and beautiful lady. She was one of the nicest and most genuine people that I have met on the 007 circuit. She was very aware of what was going on around her, more interested in listening to gossip then creating it. Unknown to most, Cheryl was battling liver cancer for the last five year. When I last saw Cheryl at the Octopussy at 30 reunion at Pinewood Studios in July 2013 she looked so radiant and happy, little did I know how unwell she really was. I am so sad to hear that she lost her battle with cancer and died peacefully just after Christmas. RIP dear Cheryl. xox"

"Saddened to hear of Cheryl Anne's passing. She was one of the most adorable girls on the sets of Octupussy." - Kabir Bedi (Gobinda in the film)
