Special effects technician/supervisor on 14 James Bond films since 1979 including SPECTRE (2015)

My first encounter with Chris Corbould, a special effects genius and one of the most talented people behind the success of the James Bond film series, was at the launch of the 50th Anniversary exhibition Bond in Motion in Beaulieu on January 15, 2012.

Chris Corbould is British special effects coordinator best known for his work on major blockbuster films and the action scenes for several James Bond films since the early 1980s. He has also worked extensively on the Superman and Batman film series on digital effects and stunts.

Corbould has been awarded with two Honorary Doctorates, one from Southampton Solent University in 2009 and one from University of Hertfordshire in 2011.

At the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011, he won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on Inception (2010). For the same film, he also won a BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects and the VES Award.

Chris was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on Dark Knight (2008).
