The Very Best Of John Barry concerts in the UK

Our friend Nic Raine will be conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at three concerts with the music from the late John Barry - The Very Best of John Barry - in Portsmouth, London and Reading in early October 2013.

John Barry had huge success in the world of film music, having written some of the best soundtracks for the silver screen including, of course, the James Bond films.

These concerts celebrates his music and will feature many hit pieces as the programme features music from:

"Goldfinger" from Goldfinger (1964), "We Have All The Time In The World" (from On Her Majesty's Secret Service), Dances with Wolves, The Black Hole, Midnight Cowboy, "Diamonds Are Forever" from Diamonds Are Forever, Out of Africa, Born Free, Moonraker (1979) and Zulu.

October 3, 2013 at 7.30pm:
This concert will be held at the Portsmouth Guild Hall.

Conductor Nic Raine will be conducting the very best of the silver screens’ soundtracks, from the cool swing of Goldfinger to the broad and expansive Dances with Wolves, with vocalists Alison Jier and Lance Ellington and presented by Tommy Pearson, a renowned authority on film music.

Ticket prices: 16.50/22.50/29.50 GBP
Concessions: 15/11/9 GBP (under 16's & students)
Family ticket (1 adult with 3 kids OR 2 adults with 2 kids): 70/50 GBP

October 4, 2013:
This concert will be held at the Royal Albert Hall.

The final stop for The Very Best of John Barry tour is Reading with the same programme as the concerts in Portsmouth and London.
