I first met David Meyer, one of the knife throwing twins in Octopussy (1983) (1983), when I assisted Martine Beswicke during a collector show (the first time David made a public signing) in September 2006.

It was a pleasure and a joy to chat a little bit with David and his twin brother Tony Meyer (born in Watford, England, 1947), both are real gentlemen.

Before entering the world of 007 in 1982, they worked on many films and television series. The brothers debuted on film in Hamlet (1976) portraying the title role opposite Helen Mirren and Vladek Sheybal (Kronsteen in From Russia with Love.)

When the screenplay for Octopussy called for twin assassins, David and Tony were the first choice for the roles of "Grishka" and "Mishka".

Both brothers have acted on stage and for the big screen. For more about David's career, check out his IMDB profile.
