Super-Premium vodka celebrates 30th anniversary with Bond's 40th anniversary

(HELSINKI, Finland) - Finlandia Vodka, the super-premium imported vodka of Finland, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in style by partnering with MGM Pictures and EON Productions latest James Bond film, 'Die Another Day,' scheduled for worldwide release in the winter of 2002. Finlandia Vodka is James Bond's vodka of choice in Die Another Day, the 20th film in the Bond series, released in conjunction with its 40th anniversary. Starring Pierce Brosnan and directed by Lee Tamahori, Die Another Day is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and written by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade. The film also stars Halle Berry, Toby Stephens, Rosamund Pike, Rick Yune, John Cleese, and Judi Dench.

"This is a great opportunity for Finlandia Vodka. James Bond is only associated with the best things in life: the best cars, the best women, and the best vodka," said Scott Reid, vice president, global marketing director for Finlandia Vodka Worldwide. "No other man exemplifies the essence of style more than the suave, daring agent 007, and no other vodka but Finlandia could represent the sophistication and poise of such a world-class hero."

Finlandia Vodka is a product with great heritage, unparalleled quality, and a global reputation. Several scenes in the latest Bond film are set in an ice palace, a natural compliment to Finlandia Vodka. Finlandia is unique for its Nordic heritage and its crystalline natural spring water, a legacy of the Ice Age. Finlandia's pure, clean taste can be attributed to only the finest ingredients, pure spring water, six row barley, and a continuous distillation process.

"We're very pleased to partner with Finlandia for Die Another Day," says Mary Goss Robino, MGM's senior vice president of worldwide promotions. "Promotions for Die Another Day and the excitement amongst those involved is really building. We look forward to working with Finlandia in preparation for Die Another Day's release."

Finlandia is currently the second largest premium imported vodka in the world. Currently, the Finlandia Vodka family includes three super-premium brands: Finlandia Vodka, Finlandia Cranberry, and Finlandia Lime.

Finlandia Vodka Worldwide Ltd (FVW) is a joint venture partnership owned 55% by Altia Corporation and 45% by Brown-Forman Corporation. FVW is responsible for the Finlandia trademark and marketing and distribution assets. FVW handles all global marketing activities for the Finlandia Vodka brand.
