BOOK AUCTION IN SWEDEN WITH IAN FLEMING LOTS

Crafoord Auktioner in Lund, Sweden (where Max von Sydow was born) feature a few Ian Fleming's lots in an auction including a first edition of Casino Royale (1953), Fleming's first James Bond novel printed in only 4,728 copies. Other titles in the auction include Dr. No (1958), You Only Live Twice (1964), The Man with the Golden Gun (1965), Octopussy and The Living Daylights (1966), and Kingsley Amis' The James Bond Dossier (1965).

The auction starts at 7.00pm, local Swedish time (GMT +01:00), on March 30th 2012.

In a first issue, not price clipped, dust jacket. Rear d/j panel with a pencil drawing of Ian Fleming by Robert Bartlett and a text about Fleming below. Front flap with short text and jacket design credit, no Times review. Blank rear flap empty but for author, editor and price of 10s 6d in left corner below. Binding in fine condition. D/j with slight browed strip up on rear panel and minimal signs of use to extremities. No tears or spots. Fine/near fine. Booksellers discrete label below inside front board. 218 pp.
